Kampusch fotos held back by police 

Photographs showing Natascha Kampusch being used as a sex slave by her kidnapper were hidden by Austrian police to avoid a political scandal, according to previously unreleased documents.

Stern, the respected German magazine, reported that police had found pictures that showed Ms Kampusch being sexually abused by friends of Priklopil, 44. The magazine said that she had been handcuffed and photographed for “cruel games”.

The discovery of documents is the first recorded corroboration of the report by Stern.

the kidnap victim Natascha Kampusch admitted she "willingly" had sex with her captor, Wolfgang Priklopil.

She also indicated that Priklopil, who killed himself in the hours following her escape, had accomplices; something she later denied.

she was examined by a gynaecologist and left a suspicion that she may have become pregnant by Priklopil while in captivity, prompting speculation in Austrian and German media reports that she had a baby.

four weeks before her mother is due in court over accusations that she gave her daughter away so she could hide her own abuse of her, as well as continue an "unfettered and colourful" social life.

"Typical Austria," responded the editor-in-chief of the newspaper Heute, which published the details. "Go after the messenger instead of the truth."
