I am very confused about the iphone support of Zimbra at the moment. I see solutions being rolled out at Apples @me and google Gmail, like I explained here: _________________________________________________ Sync your iphone/ipod touch via Exchange/ActiveSync In the zimbra webclient you can now look at the calendar names New zimbra users: Existing users with existing calendars (with existing shares): ATTENTION: This will only export the "content" of the calendar, but not the information about "shares" you may have given to others. Import the calendars .ics file into the corresponding color folder of your liking. http://www.zimbra.com/forums/zimbra-mobile/23996-multiple-ca... But I also see that the iphone related issues did not get any love in the last year. I have turned around this week and stopped offering Zimbra Mobile to endusers and SME's and I am starting to "buy" back the zimbra Mobile license from existing users, and start telling them to use Gogole Apps, as several iphone bugs there are solved, the push is there, and after heavy marketing of G. about the privacy I have lost all argmuments why someone should pay for my Zimbra licenses compared to "the market". My feeling is that with Zimbra being at Yahoo lots of things have been downgraded in priority due to market politics. With vmware I have other bad feelings, if there can be advancements with iphone or other devices for the SME market, as vmware looks to me more like a company headed against big datacenter customers only. Please tell me that I am completely wrong on this, and that many engineers at Zimbra continue to work on getting the last two bugs/RFE - dont care how we call it - the market wants it - and get a round solution with webclient - mobile phone - and all full in sync. P.S. I really dont want to start thinking about the effort needed to convince M$ Exch. customers of Z. without having all data in full sync on the iphone... |
